Qualification CA / MBA Finance

Years of Experience: 10 - 15 years of relevant experience in export finance, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or trading organizations.

Team Handling Yes, 2 Direct Reportees

Role Purpose : The role is responsible for managing and overseeing all export finance operations, ensuring timely realization of export proceeds, compliance with FEMA / RBI regulations, efficient utilization of export incentives, and effective coordination with banks, internal stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Export Finance Operations:

- Manage end-to-end export finance activities including pre-shipment and post-shipment finance.

- Ensure timely negotiation, discounting, and realization of export bills.

- Monitor export receivables, overdue bills, and follow up for realization.

- Handle documentation related to export transactions such as LC, BG, SBLC, invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, and BL/AWB.

Banking & Treasury Coordination:

- Liaise with banks for export credit limits, packing credit, PCFC, EBRD, and buyers' credit.

- Manage relationships with bankers for sanction, renewal, and enhancement of export finance limits.

- Monitor interest rates, hedging instruments, and forex exposure.

- Coordinate for remittances, inward/outward forex transactions, and bank guarantees.

Regulatory & Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with FEMA, RBI, and DGFT guidelines.

- Monitor and ensure closure of GR/EDF forms and export bill tracking.

- Handle audits (internal, statutory, RBI, and bank audits) related to export finance.

- Address queries raised by banks and auditors on export transactions.

Export Incentives & Benefits:

- Manage export incentive schemes such as RoDTEP, EPCG, Advance Authorisation, Duty Drawback, etc.

- Coordinate with consultants and internal teams for timely application and realization of incentives.

- Track changes in export policies and assess financial impact.

MIS & Reporting:

- Prepare periodic MIS on export finance, receivables, forex exposure, and incentive status.

- Present export finance dashboards to management.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and working capital optimization.

Stakeholder Management:

- Coordinate with sales, logistics, supply chain, and legal teams for smooth export operations.

- Support contract review from a finance and forex risk perspective.

- Guide and mentor junior team members.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Hands-on experience in Export Finance, including export accounting, compliance, and export incentives.

- Expertise: Hands-on experience in export accounting, compliance, and incentives

- Proven ability to lead export finance operations end-to-end.

- In-depth knowledge of RBI regulations, Foreign Trade Policy, and compliance requirements (GR Waiver, RoDTEP, EDPMS, Duty Drawback, AEO, ECGC, etc.).
