Job Title: Senior Legal Manager

Function/Department: Legal

Location : BKC Mumbai

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. To Standardize the Loan Documents templates as well as non-templated documents as per the requirement of Retail/Rural Banking (Assets and Liabilities) and Business Banking

2. Drafting vetting of Vendor Contracts, business tie ups, digital initiatives, co lending arrangements, etc.,

3. To Review Policies and Process and Documents for Retail/Rural Banking (Assets and Liabilities) and Business Banking.

4. To identify and consult on legal risk in connection with the development of new products with the concerned stake holders.

5. To oversee & review of documentation or representations to be presented to the Customers, Authorities (Regulatory/Statutory), Govt. Bodies etc.

6. To Support Business Team, Ops Team, Risk Team and RL Team across the Bank as and when required and to ensure the closure of transactions/issues as per timelines and to accomplish goals, strategies and priorities of the Bank.

7. To assess and resolve the queries of Retail/Rural Banking (Assets and Liabilities) and Business Banking referred by Business/Risk/Operations across the Bank.

8. To standardize the Stamp duty Reckoner and update the same time to time.

9. To handle references relating to stamp duty implications from multiple stake holders and business groups across the Bank.

10. Maintenance of UDN for all third Party Contracts with the Bank.

11. To Advise on enforceability of Loan and Security documents.

12. Drafting, Reviewing and negotiating contracts, business tie ups, keeping the Bank and Business interest at the forefront.

13. Timely and accurate reporting to Management with updates.

14. To Keep abreast of developments, commercial awareness and business awareness, statutory updates and regulatory guidelines, circulars, directions, .

15. Pro-actively create and maintain awareness of business for compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

16. To Handle Regulatory audits and inspections
