Senior Legal Counsel - Manufacturing & Chemicals - LLB/LLM

About the Opportunity:

We are hiring for a Senior Legal Counsel role with a leading multinational organization in the specialty manufacturing and chemicals sector.

This is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing legal affairs across the India Sub-Continent region while supporting broader corporate legal initiatives.

The role offers an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, drive legal strategy, manage complex commercial transactions, and ensure robust governance and compliance frameworks across the business.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide strategic legal counsel to leadership teams across India and regional Asia markets.

- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, partnerships, and business agreements.

- Support regional business expansion, cross-border transactions, and corporate structuring.

- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international laws across multiple jurisdictions.

- Manage litigation, disputes, investigations, and external counsel across markets.

- Drive corporate governance, risk management, and legal compliance frameworks.

- Advise on regulatory, environmental, competition, and corporate legal matters.

- Partner with global legal teams on strategic initiatives and policy implementation.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- LLB/LLM from a reputed institution.

- 15+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial legal roles.

- Strong in-house experience with multinational organizations.

- Must have handled legal matters across Asia markets / APAC region with exposure to multi-jurisdictional legal frameworks.

- Proven experience in cross-border contracts, compliance, and stakeholder management.

- Prior exposure to manufacturing, chemicals, industrial, or related sectors will be preferred.

- Strong business partnering, negotiation, and risk assessment capabilities.

Key Must-Have :

- Significant experience managing Asia regional legal matters

- Exposure to Private Equity, M&A, and investment transactions

- Strong expertise in commercial contracts, governance, and compliance

- Experience working with global legal teams and cross-border deals

- Ability to work in a fast-paced multinational environment
