Role Overview:

As Senior Legal Counsel - Contracts at Sathyam International Consulting Services, you will be a key member of the legal team, responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of commercial contracts. You will work closely with business development, sales, and operations teams to draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Your expertise will be crucial in mitigating legal risks and protecting the company's interests in all contractual matters.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including master service agreements, statements of work, vendor agreements, and non-disclosure agreements, to ensure they are legally sound and aligned with business objectives.

- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and contractual obligations, providing practical and actionable guidance to support informed decision-making.

- Develop and maintain contract templates and legal resources to streamline the contract management process and ensure consistency across the organization.

- Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance and mitigate potential legal risks.

- Manage contract disputes and litigation, working with external counsel as needed, to protect the company's interests and resolve issues efficiently.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement contract management policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

- Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on contract law and best practices to enhance their understanding and compliance.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts with minimal supervision.

- Proven expertise in corporate law, contract law, and commercial transactions.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate legal concepts to non-legal audiences.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university; Master's degree (LLM) preferred.

- Minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience in contract law, preferably in a consulting or technology services environment.

- Ability to work on-site in Chennai.
