
Role description:
- Monitor meticulous compliance, taking pro-active action against erring parties, successful defence of litigations filed against the Company, excellence in commercial contracts, protection of IPR and trademarks for all companies in the group; maintain high company secretarial standards and excellent Board relations.
- Provide strategic guidance for civil, indirect taxes and criminal litigation for defending or protecting the Company.
- Comply with Companies Act, SEBI (insider trading and listing or disclosure) regulations.
- Provide inputs in legal contracts or agreements and suggest solutions to the relevant aspects.
- Participate and provide legal support for strategic proposals in meetings or discussions with strategic parties.
- Implement corporate governance practices.
- Administer activities related to trademarks and defend the Company or file cases in such areas.
- Participate in meetings of the Board or shareholders.
- Prepare, review and ensure adherence to department policies and SOPs (as applicable).
- Perform the role of people manager.
Educational qualification(s): CS (1st attempt) or RANK holder + LLB (1st attempt).
Experience: 10 to 15 years.
