Position Summary


The Senior Director of Human Resources is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and driving the organizations people strategy. This role oversees all HR functionsincluding talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, organizational development, HR operations, total rewards, and complianceensuring alignment with the companys mission, values, and long-term goals. The Senior Director partners closely with executive leadership to build a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged workforce.


Key Responsibilities


Strategic Leadership & Organizational Development


- Develop and implement an HR strategy that supports business objectives and long-term growth.


- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on organizational culture, workforce planning, succession planning, and change management.


- Lead initiatives that strengthen organizational capability, leadership development, and employee experience.


Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning


- Oversee end-to-end talent acquisition strategy to attract, hire, and retain top talent.


- Ensure effective workforce planning, forecasting needs, and optimizing staffing levels across the organization.


- Champion employer branding and diversity recruitment strategies.


Employee Engagement, Culture & Inclusion


- Build and maintain a culture of high performance, belonging, and accountability.


- Lead employee engagement strategies, including surveys, action planning, and communication initiatives.


Performance Management & People Development


- Oversee performance management processes, ensuring clear expectations, accountability, and continuous development.


- Implement leadership development, coaching, and training programs to grow internal talent.


- Support managers in effectively developing and leading their teams.


Compensation, Benefits & Total Rewards


- Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain talent.


- Partner with finance and leadership on annual budgeting, salary planning, and workforce cost management.


- Ensure compensation practices align with market trends and are equitable and transparent.


HR Operations & Compliance


- Oversee HR operations, systems, analytics, and reporting to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and employment regulations.


- Maintain and update HR policies, handbooks, and procedures.


Employee Relations


- Lead employee relations strategy and complex case management.


- Advise leaders on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and policy interpretations.


- Promote a positive, professional, and legally compliant work environment.


Qualifications


Education & Experience


1. Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field (Masters preferred).


2. 15-28 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 8-10 years in a senior-level or director-level role.


3. Experience leading HR in a complex or multi-site organization (global experience a plus).


4. Professional certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) strongly preferred.

1. Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.


2. Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.


3. Deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational design.


4. Proven ability to influence at all levels and drive cultural and organizational change.
