
Director / Senior Director Human Resources
Location: Mumbai / Gurgaon
Reporting To: CHRO
Essential Requirements:
- 18+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
- Prior experience in Logistics / Infrastructure / Manufacturing industry.
- MBA in Human Resources.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end HR for a large workforce (including skilled and unskilled employees).
- Strong track record of partnering with senior business leaders to drive strategic people initiatives, organizational transformation, and business growth.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned HR leader to partner with the CHRO and Business Leadership in driving the people strategy for the organization's logistics business. This role will be responsible for aligning HR initiatives with business objectives while leading workforce planning, talent management, performance, capability building, employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, and HR governance for a large and dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Periodical review of manpower plan aligning to dynamic business strategic requirements.
- Collaboration and strategic alignment for preparing manpower requirement with all the Function Heads / Business Unit Heads per the productivity matrix.
- Preparing payroll cost budget for the Business Units in coordination with Regional Office Finance.
- Periodical review of approved payroll cost, ensuring measures to bring cost efficiencies.
- Periodical review of manpower productivity norms in alignment with Functional Heads / Business Unit Heads and ensuring actions based on analytics.
- Identification of Critical Talent with 90% retention except for Leadership Team (N-1 and CEOs).
- Building a talent pipeline (Internal & External) for identified positions as Critical Roles and ensuring implementation of at least 10% of succession plan movements in alignment with Business Unit Heads / Functional Heads.
- Ensuring 100% Career Conversations for Band 5 & below and Women Employees.
- Formulation of Individual Development Plan for Business Unit employees (excluding Business Unit Heads) in discussion with Function Heads / Business Unit Heads.
- Ensuring review & adherence of identified development plans for individuals.
- Identification of training needs for all eligible employees in consultation with Business Unit Heads / Functional Heads.
- Ensuring 100% of the employees undergo minimum one development intervention as per Training Need Identification.
- Ensuring completion of Goal Setting, Mid-Year Reviews, and Annual Performance Reviews across all Business Units as per defined timelines.
- Ensuring a culture of qualitative performance discussions for all reviews between Employee & Manager.
- Ensuring 100% Performance Improvement Plan for all "Developing Contributor" raters and 100% exit for "Underperforming Contributors" and consistent Developing Contributor & Underperforming Contributor raters for the past two years.
- Ensuring execution of Diversity & Inclusion initiatives at the ground level, including wellbeing, inclusion, and diversity initiatives.
- Implementation of action plan across Business Units focusing on improvement in GPTW scores over last year (ranging 510% depending on current Business Unit scores).
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders for driving overall engagement across the Business Units.
- Responsible for developing and implementing communications, events, and engagement plans across Business Units.
- Governance & monitoring to ensure control over Business Unit Administration Cost.
- Reviewing and ensuring 100% adherence to defined People Processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and guidelines.
- Ensuring continuous improvements in alignment with Business Unit HRBPs / Global Shared Service Center team.
- Closely monitor & review outsourced manpower headcount and cost.
