Product Control Global Middle Office - Senior Analyst

We are hiring for a Product Control professional to join the Global Middle Office of a leading global financial institution. The role is part of a core control function responsible for daily Trading P&L, balance sheet integrity, and strong governance across asset classes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurate T+1 daily Trading P&L reporting in line with internal policies and accounting standards

- Perform P&L substantiation, attribution, and commentary, including flash vs actual variance analysis

- Ensure month-end P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, reconciliations, and timely issue resolution

- Maintain a strong control environment, adhering to governance and audit requirements

- Review trade bookings and booking structures, especially for complex products

- Partner with traders, onshore product controllers, and stakeholders on P&L explanations and KPIs/KRIs

- Participate in UAT testing, system enhancements, and change initiatives

- Support training and knowledge sharing within the team

Mandatory Skills:

- Hands-on experience in Product Control / Trading P&L Control / Valuation Control

- Strong understanding of financial products and valuation drivers

- Ability to analyse complex trade structures and booking models

- Solid knowledge of double-entry accounting and balance sheet mechanics

- Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills

- Proven experience in a control-focused environment within an investment bank

Desired Skills:

- Understanding of interactions between Valuations, Front Office, and P&L teams

- Exposure to process improvement, automation, or digital initiatives

- Strong stakeholder communication and advisory mindset

Educational Qualification: MBA (Preferred) / Bachelors degree in Finance or a related discipline (mandatory)
