Position Overview

We are seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a proactive and results-oriented professional with a strong background in the freight forwarding industry. You will be responsible for expanding our customer base, forging strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth by understanding and addressing complex supply chain needs.

Key Responsibilities

- New Business Development: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities by targeting prospective clients and generating new leads.

- Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with a diverse customer base, acting as a trusted advisor for all their logistics requirements.

- Strategic Sales: Understand customer supply chain needs and develop tailored proposals and solutions that meet their specific requirements.

- Service Offerings: Effectively solicit and sell our comprehensive suite of services, which includes Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Distribution & Warehousing, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage.

- Performance & Goal Attainment: Meet and exceed all monthly sales targets and goals set by management.

- Internal & Global Collaboration: Maintain consistent and clear communication with our Operations/Customer Service Departments and our network of overseas offices to ensure a smooth and high-quality customer experience.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

- Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience within the logistics, freight forwarding, or a related industry.

- Education: A Bachelor's or MBA degree is required.

Functional Experience:

- Demonstrable experience in Exports is essential.

- Prior experience in Customer Service and Operations is a significant advantage.

- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in English, Hindi, and a relevant regional language.

Confident: You must be a confident and persuasive individual who is comfortable presenting solutions and negotiating with clients.

Self-Driven: A self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline effectively.

Team Player: A collaborative mindset with a proven ability to work as part of a larger team to achieve common goals.
