
Business Development - Application Modernization (USA & Canada Market)
About the Role: We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Head with 15+ years of proven sales experience in IT services, specifically in Application Modernization and Digital Transformation. The ideal candidate is a strategic closer and individual contributor who has consistently achieved and exceeded sales targets on time while building long-term client relationships in the USA and Canada markets.
You will be doing:
- Develop and execute a business development strategy for Application Modernization offerings (Cloud, Microservices, DevOps, AI/Automation, etc.) across USA and Canada.
- Manage the entire sales cycle independently - from prospecting, lead qualification, proposal creation, negotiation, to deal closure.
- Conduct headhunting and direct outreach to decision-makers (CXOs, VPs, IT Directors) in target enterprises.
- Drive farming activities to nurture existing accounts and identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
- Collaborate with delivery and solution teams to align client needs with the right technical capabilities.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor positioning, and new growth areas.
- Represent the company at industry events, webinars, and networking forums to build brand presence in the North American market.
Required Skills (Minimum knowledge, Skills and abilities to enter the job):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Technology, or related field.
- 15+ years of experience in IT Sales / Business Development, preferably in Application Modernization, Cloud, or Digital Transformation.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of modernization technologies (Cloud, Microservices, DevOps, APIs, AI/Automation).
- Deep knowledge of the USA and Canada enterprise market landscape.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and drive results under pressure
