Sales manager (Automobile Industry)

Role Overview:
- The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales performance and profitability for the premium/luxury vehicle portfolio. This role involves leading a high-performing sales team, delivering an exceptional customer experience in line with luxury brand standards, and developing strategic initiatives to expand market reach and maximise revenue.
- The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the luxury automotive segment, strong business acumen, and proven experience in premium car sales and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor sales consultants to ensure high performance and alignment with luxury brand values.
- Set individual and team sales objectives aligned with business goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions to drive excellence.
- Foster a culture of professionalism, high energy, and personalised customer engagement.
2. Sales Strategy & Revenue Management
- Design and implement strategic sales plans to achieve monthly and annual revenue, unit, and profitability targets.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to tailor sales tactics.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for lead-generation campaigns and showroom activations/events.
- Drive upsell/cross-sell initiatives including accessories, extended warranties, and service packages.
3. Customer Experience & Relationship Management
- Ensure a superior showroom experience reflecting luxury dealership standards.
- Maintain long-term relationships with HNI/UHNI clients, corporate clientele, and referral networks.
- Resolve escalations with discretion and customer-centricity.
- Personally engage in high-ticket negotiations for premium deals.
4. Inventory & Operational Coordination
- Monitor vehicle inventory and model availability to match demand patterns.
- Coordinate with OEM representatives for allocation, incentives, and brand-level promotions.
- Collaborate with finance, insurance, service, and delivery teams to ensure seamless vehicle handovers.
5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track individual and team conversion ratios, enquiry funnels, and sales cycle timelines.
- Maintain and update CRM platforms with accuracy.
- Generate weekly/monthly MIS reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with dealership SOPs and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in automotive sales, ideally in luxury or premium automobile brands.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and motivation abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with HNI clientele.
- Strong understanding of dealership operations, retail finance, and premium purchase cycles.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales metrics and identify growth opportunities.
- Professional appearance, brand representation etiquette, and customer service excellence.
