Sales Head / Account Manager (IBM Software Solutions)
Role Overview
The Sales Head / Account Manager is a critical, high-autonomy leadership role responsible for having full ownership of the enterprise sales efforts for IBM Software Solutions within Intellismith, with a key focus on the Noida location.
This is a senior strategic position requiring a minimum of 5+ years of experience in enterprise software sales, specifically tasked with building the IBM software vertical from scratch and driving high-value contracts across industries like BFSI, Manufacturing, and Healthcare.
The incumbent will report directly to leadership, with the mandate to shape the future of the IBM software business while leveraging expertise in cloud services, AI, automation, and cybersecurity solutions.
Strategic Leadership and Revenue Generation
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for IBMs industry-leading software portfolio, which includes solutions in Cloud, AI, Automation, Data, and Security.
- Enterprise Revenue Growth: Identify, pursue, and secure large enterprise partnerships and contracts that demonstrably drive substantial, long-term revenue growth for the IBM software vertical.
- Executive Engagement: Establish and nurture senior-level (CXO) relationships with enterprise decision-makers, positioning IBMs portfolio as the go-to solution for critical business challenges and digital transformation initiatives.
- Vertical Ownership: Demonstrate a strong Entrepreneurial Mindset and proven ability to build and scale a business vertical independently, utilizing a Full Ownership model to shape the future of the business line.
- Market Insight: Maintain deep knowledge of industry trends and competitor activities, continually refining the sales approach to consistently create maximum value for enterprise clients.
Team Building and Collaborative Innovation
- Team Leadership and Mentorship: Recruit, mentor, and lead a dynamic sales team to effectively expand the vertical's reach and consistently exceed aggressive sales targets.
- Go-to-Market Alignment: Work closely with internal technology and HR outsourcing teams, as well as IBM partners, to align on go-to-market initiatives and deliver tailored, end-to-end solutions combining software and services.
- Solution Positioning: Articulate the value proposition of complex IBM softwarefrom secure, enterprise-grade IT solutions to AI-powered automationto technical and non-technical client stakeholders.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in enterprise software sales is mandatory.
- Product Expertise: Deep understanding of IBM's suite of solutions, specifically in the areas of Cloud, AI, Automation, Data, and Security.
- IBM Track Record: A track record in selling IBM products or a similar complex enterprise software portfolio is a distinct advantage.
- Network & Influence: Must possess Established relationships with enterprise decision-makers and demonstrate familiarity with the broader IBM partner ecosystem.
- Communication & Negotiation: Outstanding negotiation and communication skills, supported by a history of successful engagements at the C-level.
- Agility: A readiness to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment where innovation meets execution and aggressive growth targets are the norm.
Preferred Skills
- Direct experience selling into one or more of the core industry verticals: BFSI, Manufacturing, or Healthcare.
- Proficiency in developing comprehensive account plans and multi-year sales roadmaps.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage technical resources (Solution Architects) effectively throughout the sales cycle.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies (Challenger, MEDDIC) applied to large enterprise deals
