Sales Engineer/Manager - Automation Key Responsibilities : - Interact with clients to understand the requirement of Automation. - Collect all the data (e.g.: order details, SKU profile, Warehouse details, process flow, constraints, etc.) from the client required to determine the best automation solution. - Understand challenges, pain points, and concerns present in the current process of the client which is needed to be solved using automation. - Interact with clients to understand new domains/areas where automation of the solution can be implemented - Keep himself/herself updated on the end-to-end project approval and execution process of clients for Automation Projects - Interact with different automation vendors to identify new bought-out products for creating advanced automation solutions - Interact with different automation vendors to identify the scope of reducing the cost of existing bought-out products or to identify & develop cost-effective product/solution - Visit client's warehouses to understand existing process flow, type of SKUs handled, and constrain present in the existing system - Visit the client's warehouse to check the execution of the project and ensure execution is in line with the agreed design and process considerations - Visit other automated WHs (vendors or other clients) to gain in-depth knowledge of processes and automation used in different domains/categories of Design. - Analyze the data given client to generate insights that can help in deciding the best automation solution possible. - Select relevant automation technologies based on the data analysis, process flow, and constraints provided by the client - Create design data, layout, and list of assumptions - Design end-to-end automation solutions incorporating all requirements of a client and presenting the solution to the client. - Take closure from the client on the suggested solution and align the client on all the assumptions and eventually freeze the layout with the client - Take alignment on the scope of the project/equipment with the client Delivery : - Provide BoQ, cost, network, and power details to the client to enable the client in estimating the project cost for approval - Negotiate with the client on the overall project cost and close negotiation in a way that desired project profitability is maintained - Align client on the delivery timelines and payment terms - Ensure material code is created in Reliance's system for new products/equipment which are part of BoQ - Ensure timely release of PO as per agreed rates and terms & conditions Experience Required : Educational Qualification : B.Tech. & MBA (MBA preferred but not mandatory) Prior experience : 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Operations or Automation Projects preferred Other skills (preferred) : - Knowledge of AutoCAD/Bricscad - Proficiency in MS Office - Understanding of Warehouse operations
