About the Role:
- We are looking for a seasoned General Manager - Production (API) to lead large-scale manufacturing operations across multiple production blocks.
- This is a senior leadership role for a technically strong and operationally excellent professional who can drive safe, efficient, and compliant production while building a culture of continuous improvement.
- You will play a critical role in ensuring reliable operations, capacity utilization, cost optimization, and people development in a complex API manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee end-to-end production operations for multiple API manufacturing blocks.
- Ensure achievement of production targets in line with quality, safety, and compliance
standards.
- Drive operational excellence through process optimization, productivity improvement, and waste reduction.
- Ensure strict adherence to cGMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EHS teams for seamless operations.
- Manage budgets, manpower planning, and resource utilization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop plant leadership teams and shop-floor personnel.
- Drive digitalization, automation, and best practices in manufacturing where applicable.
- Support technology transfer and scale-up activities for new products.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 15+ years of experience in API manufacturing operations.
- Mandatory experience of handling 5-6 production blocks or large, multi-unit operations.
- Strong exposure to regulated manufacturing environments.
- Proven leadership in managing large teams and complex operations.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and execution skills.
