
A legally trained professional, early in their career, who wants to move beyond pure legal work into M&A and partnership execution
1. Deal Execution & Governance (Quarterback Role)
- Act as the deal quarterback from a legal and governance standpoint across M&A transactions and strategic partnerships.
- Coordinate closely with internal legal teams, external counsel, and cross functional stakeholders to ensure seamless deal execution.
- Ensure timelines, dependencies, and approvals are managed effectively across workstreams.
2. Diligence & Transaction Support
- Support legal and commercial diligence across acquisitions and partnerships.
- Review and analyze transaction related materials, highlighting legal, contractual, and governance considerations.
- Help identify deal risks early and work with stakeholders to develop mitigation approaches.
3. Agreement Structuring & Negotiation Support
- Support the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of:
- NDAs, LOIs, term sheets
- Definitive agreements for M&A and partnerships
- Partner with internal legal teams and external counsel to ensure agreements reflect commercial intent while managing risk.
4. Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Identify legal, regulatory, and contractual risks across transactions.
- Support compliance, audit committee, and board level reporting related to deals.
- Help ensure governance standards are maintained as deal volume increases.
5. Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Corporate Development, Partnerships, Finance, Legal, and business stakeholders.
- Translate legal considerations into clear, business relevant insights for internal stakeholders.
- Help streamline deal execution processes to support higher transaction throughput.
6. Career Progression & Capability Building
- Gradually evolve into a well rounded M&A and partnership professional, with exposure beyond traditional legal execution.
- Build commercial judgment and deal acumen alongside legal expertise.
- Develop a strong understanding of how transactions create strategic and operational value for the business.

Minimum education and experience required :
- Legal professional with initial years of experience (manager-level readiness).
- Currently performing legal work but aspiring to participate in deals and transactions.
- Strong learning orientation and ambition to grow beyond a functional legal role.
- A bridge between legal, business, and deal execution.
