Role Overview.
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the city-level implementation of the project in Dwarka or Okha.
This role involves coordinating with field and ward teams, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining strong stakeholder engagement with Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), contractors, and community groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Implementation & Coordination:
- Lead the overall city-level implementation for the Dwarka/Okha project.
- Coordinate IEC (Information, Education, Communication), collection, and processing activities with ward and field teams.
- Ensure seamless coordination between ULBs, contractors, and local teams to achieve project objectives.
- Supervise local operations teams and oversee day-to-day field activities.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise regularly with ULB officials, contractors, and citizen groups for project execution and updates.
- Build partnerships with temple authorities, vendors, and civic volunteers to strengthen community participation.
- Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders, ensuring timely decision-making and collaboration.
Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverable tracking to ensure on-time and within-budget completion.
- Review field reports, monitor performance metrics, and ensure adherence to operational quality and safety standards.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and support documentation for client and internal reviews.
Community Engagement & Behavioral Change:
- Design and support social mobilization and behavioral change communication strategies tailored to culturally rooted settings.
- Develop and implement participation models that promote sustained community engagement and waste segregation practices.
Requirements:
Skills & Competencies Required:
- Deep understanding of social mobilization and behavioral change communication in culturally rooted environments.
- Experience in building partnerships with local institutions (e.g., temple authorities, vendors, civic volunteers).
- Skilled in designing participation frameworks for long-term community involvement.
- Proven ability to manage multi-location operations, including logistics, manpower, and budgeting.
- Strong coordination and leadership skills for managing teams, vendors, and client stakeholders effectively.
