About the role
We are seeking an Executive Director to lead and grow our Finance and Accounting division. This is a senior leadership position responsible for the division's overall performance, client relationships, service quality, and organizational growth.
The role combines commercial ownership with delivery leadership. In the early phase, the Executive Director will work closely with delivery teams and clients to establish structure, standards, and momentum. As the leadership layer beneath the role matures, the focus progressively shifts toward business development, client acquisition, and strategic growth of the division.
Key responsibilities
Business Growth and Client Relationships
- Own the division's revenue and profitability targets
- Lead business development, participate in client pursuits, and represent the division in prospect and closing discussions
- Build and deepen senior client relationships, driving retention, expansion, and referrals
- Develop the fund accounting practice into a defined, scalable service line
Service Delivery
- Hold overall accountability for client satisfaction, service levels, and delivery standards
- Serve as the senior escalation point for key accounts
- Maintain oversight of the division's largest and most strategic client relationships
- Establish onboarding, documentation, and quality processes that support consistent delivery and smooth client transitions
Organization and Leadership
- Build and lead the management structure across VP, Delivery Manager, and executive levels
- Recruit, mentor, and develop leaders, maintaining service quality through periods of growth
- Set clear accountabilities and reporting lines across the division
- Establish succession and continuity across key roles
Operations and Strategy
- Manage resourcing, utilization, and operating efficiency across the division
- Broaden the service portfolio toward higher-value offerings such as controllership and advisory
- Report regularly to the Managing Director on performance, pipeline, and headcount
Candidate profile
- 14 to 18 years in finance and accounting, with substantial experience in an accounting or F&A outsourcing, KPO, or shared-services environment
- Proven track record of scaling a business unit or division across revenue and headcount
- Strong commercial orientation with genuine profit-and-loss ownership
- Demonstrated success in client acquisition and senior client relationship management
- Experience building and leading multi-layered delivery teams
- Exposure to fund accounting is an advantage
- Professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, MBA Finance, or equivalent) preferred
