Role Overview:
The GM/DGM Finance & Accounts will be responsible for managing the companys overall financial operations, accounting functions, and statutory compliance. The role will support senior management in financial planning, budgeting, analysis, and implementing cost-efficient practices to ensure sustainable business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic & Financial Planning
- Support the formulation and execution of financial strategies aligned with the companys business objectives.
- Conduct financial and business analysis to provide insights for decision-making and growth planning.
- Assist in evaluating new business opportunities, investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to financial forecasting, long-term planning, and budgeting processes.
- Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
Financial Management & Control
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor performance, and track variances against targets.
- Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Drive cost optimization and efficiency improvement across departments.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and auditors for various financial matters.
- Support in debt funding, project financing, and investor documentation as required.
- Handle taxation, statutory audits, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and government regulations.
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial decision-making.
- Promote process improvement, accuracy, and financial discipline within the team.
- Provide timely financial insights and reports to management for informed decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Chartered Accountant (CA); CS or MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 10-12+ years of experience in Finance & Accounts,
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting, budgeting, and compliance.
- Proven ability to manage financial planning, MIS reporting, and audit functions.
- Exposure to funding, mergers & acquisitions, and project finance will be an advantage.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in financial systems, ERP tools, and MS Office.
