Possess deep expertise in complex, multi-jurisdictional disputes and arbitration, particularly in infrastructure, construction, engineering, and IPR litigation. This role requires delivering high-quality legal support while ensuring full regulatory compliance and strategic legal risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Arbitration & Dispute Resolution
- Draft and vet arbitration clauses, notices for invocation, terms of reference for high-value contracts.
- Handle end-to-end arbitration proceedings including under ICC rules and multi-jurisdictional contexts.
2. Litigation Management
- Represent the organization in complex litigation matters
- Engage with external legal counsels and manage litigation strategy for favorable outcomes.
3. Contract Management
- Oversee legal aspects of contract administration in large infrastructure/construction projects.
- Ensure compliance and risk mitigation in contract execution and lifecycle management.
4. Corporate Legal Advisory
- Advise on company law matters such as scheme petitions, shareholder disputes, and corporate restructuring.
- Provide legal inputs on governance, board matters, and statutory compliance.
5. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
- Manage regulatory interactions and updates on legal reforms affecting the business.
6. Strategic Legal Support
- Partner with internal teams to provide proactive legal support and align legal strategy with business goals.
- Identify potential legal risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
7. Representation before Authorities
- Appear and represent clients before High Courts, TDSAT, and other regulatory and quasi-judicial bodies.
- Handle disputes related to telecom, tax, broadcasting, and mining.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
- LL.M. or professional certification in arbitration/IPR preferred.
Experience:
- 15-25 years of post-qualification experience in arbitration, litigation, and corporate legal practice.
- Proven record of managing high-value disputes in infrastructure, construction, or technology sectors.
Key Skills:
- Deep knowledge of civil, criminal, corporate, and IPR laws.
- Expertise in drafting arbitration agreements and complex legal contracts.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and in team environments.
- Experience managing cross-border legal issues and arbitration forums.
