Job Description:

A diversified conglomerate with a strong presence in the Oil & Lubricants sector is looking for a Regional Sales Manager - Retail Sales for South and North India locations, creating and driving the strategy for growth of Retail business in respective areas in line with the vision of the organisation.

Position Title: Regional Sales Manager (Retail Sales)

Position Summary: This position is responsible for creating and driving the strategy for growth of the retail business in respective areas in line with the vision of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Business Deliverables & Expansion: Strategies and deliver business results for the areahandling Primary & Secondary volumes

- Channel Management & development: Appoint new channel partners and deliver results through existing channel partners as per the aligned targets.

- Training & Coaching: On-the-job coaching of the team, Capability and competency development.

- Planning & Review: Drive business planning through the team periodically, review performance at the team and distributor level and drive course correction as required.

- Compliance, Ethics & Safety: Ensure adherence to all policies by self and team.

Accountability:

- Achieve agreed sales targets and growth objectives in assigned territory.

- Adherence to travel budgets for self and team.

- Track monthly invoiced dealers and control credit exposure.

- Various Sales & Marketing Budget like Pricing/Activities/Meetings & Dealer Meets.

- Policy compliance for self and team.

- Performance Management & Capability Development of self and team

Working Relationships:

Internal: Collaborate with marketing for promotional campaigns. Co-ordinate with supply chain/logistics fororder fulfilment. Work with finance teams to monitor dealer invoicing and credit exposure.

External: Maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and retail customers. Engage with industry stakeholders to stay updated on market developments.

Knowledge & Skills

- Understanding of automotive lubricants and retail distribution channels. Familiarity with sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM systems. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to design and execute effective retail sales strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Adaptability :

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic market.


- Flexibility to travel and manage multiple territories.


- Quick problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.


- Education Requirement: Graduate / MBA in Sales and Marketing

Experience :

- Preferably 12 to 15 years of experience in B2C business, handling Retail business and Channel Management. At least 4 years with a team management role.

- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing dealer/retail relationships.

- Experience in market research, forecasting, and region management.
