Role Overview:

We are hiring a Retail Sales & Operations Manager for a premium sports and athleisure brand to drive store sales performance, operational excellence, and high-performing teams across retail locations.

This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in sports, fitness, or athleisure retail, who thrive in high-energy, customer-centric environments and bring a balance of commercial acumen, people leadership, and brand execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Performance & Revenue Growth

- Drive achievement of store sales targets, KPIs, and productivity metrics.

- Analyze sales trends, conversion rates, footfall, and ATV to improve performance.

- Execute brand-led selling strategies aligned with seasonal and campaign objectives.

Retail Operations & P&L Management

- Oversee day-to-day retail operations ensuring efficiency and compliance with SOPs.

- Own store-level P&L, including cost control, inventory efficiency, and shrinkage management.

- Ensure accurate stock management, replenishment, and loss prevention.

Customer Experience & Visual Merchandising

- Deliver exceptional customer experience and service standards aligned with premium brand positioning.

- Ensure visual merchandising excellence as per global and regional VM guidelines.

- Maintain store aesthetics that reflect sports, performance, and lifestyle values.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Recruit, train, coach, and retain high-performing store teams.

- Build a culture rooted in wellness, performance, engagement, and teamwork.

- Conduct regular performance reviews, skill-building sessions, and motivation programs.

Community Engagement & Brand Presence

- Build strong connections with local sports, fitness, and wellness communities.

- Drive in-store events, collaborations, and community activations to boost footfall and brand affinity.

- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring authentic representation of brand values on-ground.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Work closely with marketing, VM, supply chain, HR, and leadership teams.

- Support new store openings, store upgrades, and operational rollouts.

- Share market insights and customer feedback to support business decisions.

Key Performance Areas (KRAs):

- Store sales growth and target achievement

- P&L performance and cost optimization

- Customer experience and service quality metrics

- Team productivity, engagement, and retention

- VM compliance and brand execution

- Community-driven footfall and engagement

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Must-Have

- 8-10 years of experience in retail sales & operations, preferably within sports or athleisure brands

- Strong exposure to store operations, sales management, and team leadership

- Experience handling P&L, inventory, and retail KPIs

- Proven ability to drive customer experience excellence

Good-to-Have

- Background in fitness, sports retail, or lifestyle premium brands

- Experience managing multi-store or flagship store operations

- Exposure to community-led or experiential retail formats
