Role Overview:
We are hiring Regional HR Managers for a leading retail organization to manage end-to-end HR operations across multiple stores in the West or South region. This is a high-impact, business-facing role requiring strong expertise in retail HR, regional stakeholder management, and people operations at scale.
The role will work closely with business leaders, store operations, and corporate HR teams to ensure smooth HR functioning, compliance, employee engagement, and talent continuity in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional HR Operations:
- Manage end-to-end HR operations for the assigned region (West / South), covering multiple retail stores.
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for regional business and store leadership.
- Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies, processes, and SOPs across locations.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
- Drive end-to-end hiring for store and regional roles in collaboration with TA teams.
- Manage workforce planning, attrition control, and manpower budgeting.
- Support rapid hiring during store expansions and seasonal peaks.
Employee Engagement & Performance Management:
- Drive employee engagement initiatives to improve retention and morale.
- Manage performance management cycles, goal setting, appraisals, and feedback processes.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Compliance & Statutory Management:
- Ensure full compliance with labour laws and statutory requirements across the region.
- Coordinate audits, inspections, and statutory reporting.
- Monitor attendance, payroll inputs, leave management, and contractor compliance.
Stakeholder & Business Partnership:
- Partner closely with regional business heads, store managers, and operations teams.
- Provide HR insights and people solutions aligned to business goals.
- Support change management, culture building, and leadership initiatives.

- Timely hiring and store staffing effectiveness
- Employee engagement and satisfaction metrics
- Compliance adherence and audit readiness
- HR process efficiency across stores
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Must-Have:
- 6-10+ years of experience in HR within the retail industry
- Strong exposure to multi-store, regional HR operations
- Hands-on experience in talent acquisition, ER, compliance, and HR operations
- Proven ability to manage regional stakeholders and store leadership
Good-to-Have:
- Experience handling large frontline workforce
- Exposure to high-growth or multi-city retail environments
- Strong understanding of labour laws across Indian states
