Regional Head - Finance & Accounts - South - Beverage Industry

Description:

Job Role :

- Responsible for ensuring timely & accurate consolidation of all books of accounts as per applicable Accounting Standards for the region

- Drive compliance and adherence with all accounting and reporting liabilities of the region

Business Planning:

- Participate in the annual budgeting exercise and conduct trend analysis to provide insights to the Head - Finance & Accounts

- Understand the strategic business requirements of the organization and provide inputs to support short-medium and long-term financial planning and cash management across the region (BIPL Plants)

- Develop strategic plans for efficient accounting and MIS across BIPL plants and translate them into standard processes & systems to minimize cycle time & improve accuracy

- Establish effective and robust accounting systems to provide timely, accurate and consistent inputs for management reporting.

Accounts payable:

- Monitor the system of salary disbursement on monthly basis and address grievances, if any

- Drive timely and efficient payment processing to all the vendors

- Plan for funds after consolidating key expense items like salary, excise taxes, transporter costs, worker costs, etc.

- Oversee the process of reimbursements and address grievances if any

- Respond to and satisfactorily resolve queries raised by internal and statutory audit

Accounts Receivable:

- Drive timely and accurate receipt of payments for the designated region

- Oversee reconciliation of books of accounting for all transactions across the organization

- Support in timely generation of all invoices as per the terms and conditions in the customer contract and agreed payment schedule

- Monitor timely receipt of payments from customers and escalate non-payments for further probing and action

Operations:

- Assist in improving profitability by identifying cost reduction opportunities in departmental operations through appropriate and timely information support and analysis.

Compensation:

- Oversee efficient Tax and Tax returns related processes

- Collaborate with other HRIS users (Payroll, Finance, Projects, etc.) to ensure integrity of the HRIS

People Management:

- Provide inputs for the annual manpower plan and budget of the function, in consultation with Head Finance and Head - HR & Admin

- Drive a culture of performance amongst subordinates - set goals, review and manage performance, guide and counsel and provide feedback on performance so as to ensure a motivated and committed team

- Develop the capabilities to take on higher responsibilities while performing the given/incharge responsibilities at various levels within the functions
