Job Description. Reporting to the Import & SCS Trade Compliance Manager, the Analysts primary function is to act as the primary contact for Indian legal entities, to be key team player for EMEAI Trade Compliance team and regional stakeholders, conducting strategically key processes and assisting with day-to-day business compliance.


Major responsibilities include:


- Act as the primary point of contact in India, work with respective stakeholders for Export control, import compliance & Supply chain security and FTA & Origin related topics by triggering, following and managing the daily business topics.


- Work together effectively with EMEAI Trade Compliance Team & Managers on:

- Origin topics, preferential and non-preferential rules of origin in terms of FTA compliant calculation and record-keeping.

- Ensuring full compliance with domestic and international export regulations (DGFT, BIS, REACH, FDA etc.).

- Identifying and assessing the relevant trade compliance regulation updates.

- Initiate, conduct and monitor for Indian legal entities:

- The import reconciliation process and AEO program.

- ECCN validation of new articles created in ERPs.

- ICP (Internal Compliance Program).

- HTS classification for day-to-day business.

- Support, assist, facilitate and monitor:

- The licensing and process mapping projects for export control function.

- Global Trade Management system (GTM) for applicable trade compliance processes.

- The related compliance programs such as Advance Authorization license, SCOMET

classification project, origin supplier declarations solicitation.

- Internal audits and assessments related to customs and international trade matters.

- The maintenance of system data, files record keeping for imports, exports and FTA & Origin functions.


- Customs broker coordination including reporting, and engagement with customs authorities to ensure smooth and compliant local operations if needed.


- Monthly risk index KPI analysis.

- Conduct training to internal customers and improve awareness of trade regulations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (logistics, procurement, legal, finance) to ensure

end-to-end compliance in international transactions.

The Analyst must possess the following qualification, knowledge and skills:


- Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in Trade Compliance, with demonstrable leadership or project ownership.

- Bachelors/ Master's degree in international Trade, Supply Chain, Law, or related field.

- Strong command of HS classification, customs valuation, origin determination, and trade documentation processes.

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

- Deep integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

- Proven ability to manage multiple global stakeholders and drive process improvement initiatives.


- SAP and/or Oracle experience is a plus.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, have a good written/verbal command of English.

- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Excellent multi-tasking ability and project handling.

- Flexibility on working hours due to project requirements.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office products; Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel.
