Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:
- Oversee preparation and finalization of trial balance, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to senior management and stakeholders.
- Review Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
- Drive monthly financial closure process and ensure accuracy of books of accounts.
- Develop and strengthen internal financial controls and accounting policies.
2. MIS & Financial Planning:
- Lead the annual budgeting process and preparation of comprehensive financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions to achieve financial targets.
- Prepare and review monthly MIS reports, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
- Provide actionable insights to business heads and senior management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
3. Treasury & Working Capital Management:
- Monitor company cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
- Manage working capital, fund flow, and banking operations.
- Implement effective cash management and cost control systems.
- Optimize fund utilization and oversee borrowing arrangements (if applicable).
4. Direct & Indirect Taxation:
- Oversee advance tax computation and ensure timely payments.
- Supervise preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns, tax audit, and handling assessments.
- Ensure compliance with GST regulations including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, ITC reconciliations, and GST audits.
- Ensure timely filing of quarterly TDS returns and reconciliation with books.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws including VAT, sales tax (if applicable), and income tax regulations.
5. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure timely payment of statutory dues such as PF, ESIC, PT, GST, TDS, etc.
- Review monthly and quarterly statutory compliance reports.
- Liaise with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and regulatory authorities.
6. Costing & Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory accounting and valuation.
- Implement and monitor cost control systems to track COGS, production, and operational expenses.
- Conduct periodic cost analysis and margin review to improve operational efficiency.
7. Leadership & Stakeholder Management:
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team.
- Act as key liaison between finance department and senior management.
- Support CFO/Board in strategic initiatives, fundraising, and financial planning.
- Present financial performance and insights to leadership team and stakeholders.
Qualification & Experience:
- CA Qualified (Mandatory).
- 8-12 years experience in Finance & Accounts (BFSI/NBFC preferred).
- Experience handling audits, taxation and financial reporting independently.
- Prior team handling experience is mandatory.
