About the Role:

- RK Group, in collaboration with a leading marketplace, is launching a new e-commerce venture focused on electronics (mobiles) and fashion.

- We are seeking a hands-on Head - Finance & Operations to drive execution excellence during the setup and scale-up phase.

- This is a high-ownership, execution-heavy role.

- This is not a strategy, FP&A, business finance, or advisory position.

Role Focus:

- End-to-end ownership of finance operations and compliance

- Deep involvement in day-to-day execution

- Strong emphasis on reconciliations, GST, inventory, and marketplace operations

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Operations & Controllership:

- End-to-end finance operations including AP, AR, GL, inventory, and revenue recognition

- Accurate month-end close, maintenance of clean books, and audit-ready financials

- Strong control on working capital and cash flows

- GST & Compliance (Hands-on Execution)

- Complete ownership of GST filings - GSTR-1, GSTR-3B

- 2B vs Books reconciliation with timely resolution

- GST treatment on returns, credit notes, and debit notes

- Vendor GST follow-ups and mismatch resolution

- Handling statutory, tax, and internal audits

- Marketplace & Inventory Operations

- Marketplace reconciliations including collections, claims, deductions, and settlements as per SLA

- Returns / RTV accounting and debit-credit note reconciliation

- Inventory and stock reconciliations across systems and marketplaces

- Tight control over claims, shortages, and deductions

- Process & Controls

- Define and enforce strict SOPs

- Ensure high compliance discipline and documentation standards

- Build processes that scale without reconciliation backlogs

Who Should Apply:

- Chartered Accountant, qualified in 2008

- 12-18 years of overall experience

- Minimum 2 years of experience in e-commerce, trading, or retail

- Proven hands-on GST execution experience (not review-only)

- Strong exposure to reconciliations, inventory, returns, and marketplace accounting

- Comfortable with detail-oriented, repetitive, execution-driven work

- Ownership mindset with a low-ego, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
