The role involves strategic procurement, vendor management, cost optimization, and commercial operations, ensuring seamless supply chain management for raw materials. Key Responsibilities: 1. Procurement Strategy & Sourcing - Develop and implement procurement strategies for yarn & chemicals to optimize cost and quality. - Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for raw materials. - Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency. 2. Vendor & Supplier Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international yarn & chemical suppliers. - Ensure suppliers meet quality, compliance, and delivery timelines. - Implement supplier evaluation and risk assessment to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions. 3. Cost Optimization & Budget Management - Drive cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality. - Monitor and control purchase budgets, cost analysis, and expenditure tracking. - Optimize working capital by efficient procurement planning. 4. Commercial & Compliance Management - Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, taxation, and legal aspects of procurement. - Collaborate with finance and legal teams for contract review and risk mitigation. - Handle negotiations related to credit terms, payment structures, and financial agreements with vendors. 5. Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination - Work closely with production, logistics, and warehouse teams for timely material availability. - Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance supply-demand fluctuations. - Address supply chain disruptions and implement contingency plans when necessary. Key Requirements: - Experience: 15+ years in yarn & chemical procurement within the textile industry. - Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Textile Technology, or related fields; MBA is a plus. - Expertise in: Vendor negotiations, cost control, supplier management, and supply chain optimization. - Skills: Strong analytical, leadership, and negotiation skills with experience in commercial operations. - Knowledge of: International & domestic yarn & chemical markets, compliance, taxation, and contracts.
