About the Role :


We are looking for a skilled and patient-centric Pulmonologist to diagnose and manage respiratory and lung-related conditions. From an interviewers perspective, we are seeking a candidate with strong clinical expertise, critical care exposure, and the ability to manage both acute and chronic pulmonary diseases effectively.


Key Responsibilities :


- Diagnose and treat respiratory disorders such as asthma, COPD, tuberculosis, interstitial lung disease (ILD), pneumonia, and lung infections


- Manage patients in OPD, IPD, and ICU settings, including critical care cases


- Interpret and analyze pulmonary function tests (PFTs), chest X-rays, CT scans, and other diagnostic reports


- Perform procedures such as bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and pleural biopsies (if applicable)

Develop and implement personalized treatment plans


- Manage patients requiring ventilator support and oxygen therapy


Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including intensivists, radiologists, and infectious disease specialists


- Provide patient education on disease management, smoking cessation, and preventive care


- Maintain accurate patient documentation and medical records


- Stay updated with latest advancements, guidelines, and treatment protocols in pulmonology


- Participate in clinical audits, research, and academic discussions


What We Look for (Interviewers Perspective) :


- Strong clinical acumen in pulmonary medicine and respiratory care


- Experience in handling critical care and ICU cases


- Proficiency in diagnostic procedures and interpretation of pulmonary investigations


- Ability to manage chronic respiratory diseases and acute emergencies


- Excellent patient communication and counseling skills


- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, multidisciplinary environment


- Ethical, patient-first approach with strong decision-making skills


Required Qualifications


- MBBS (Mandatory)


- MD/MS in relevant specialization


- DM/DrNB in Pulmonary Medicine (Mandatory)


- Valid medical registration/license


Preferred Experience


- Experience in multi-specialty hospitals or respiratory care centers


- Exposure to advanced pulmonary procedures and ICU management


- Participation in research, publications, or academic activities
