What You'll Do:
1. Own Client Relationships
- Manage 10-12 ecommerce clients from onboarding to strategy to execution.
- Lead weekly calls, present insights, and act as each brand's retention partner.
- Understand their goals, challenges, seasonality, and customer journey inside out.
2. Run Retention Marketing Across Channels
- Build and execute strong strategies across email, SMS, and web push (via Brevo & PushOwl).
- Develop automations, flows, campaign calendars, and messaging frameworks.
- Analyse performance and share clear, actionable recommendations to improve retention, AOV, and LTV.
3. Coordinate & Review Creative Output
- Work with freelancers - brief them, give feedback, and ensure brand consistency.
- Step in when needed to fix flows, adjust designs, or push out a campaign independently.
- Maintain a high bar for design and copy quality for global ecommerce brands.
4. Maintain Profitability & Smooth Execution
- Track margins, deliverables, timelines, and overall client satisfaction.
- Keep workflows efficient and predictable - reduce back-and-forth, catch blockers early, and keep output high.
5. Support Sales & Client Growth
- Help pitch new clients with retention insights and sample strategies.
- Identify upsell opportunities and support proposal creation.
6. Build Better Processes (Not More Busywork)
This role isn't about doing everything manually - it's about working smarter.
You should naturally:
- Create templates and reusable frameworks for faster execution
- Standardise how we brief freelancers and deliver work
- Improve calendars, reporting, and internal checklists
- Keep the team lean while keeping output high
- Strong candidates are people who've worked in fast-paced agencies or D2C teams and know how to juggle multiple brands efficiently, without chaos.
You'll Be Great at This Role If You Have:
- 3-5+ years of retention or lifecycle marketing experience (agency or D2C brand experience strongly preferred)
- A solid understanding of email flows, automations, testing, segmentation, and performance metrics
- Experience with Klaviyo, Brevo, Omnisend, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with Shopify and ecommerce funnel metrics
- Good design sense - you know what "good" looks like for global brands
- Strong communication and client-handling skills
- Ability to balance strategy, creativity, and execution
- Comfort managing multiple clients without dropping quality
Bonus Points If You:
- Have worked with international D2C brands
- Have agency experience leading multiple accounts
- Are great at organising workflows using Notion, Airtable, ClickUp, etc.
- Can write and design email content when needed
