Job Title: Product Sales Manager - Transaction Banking

Location: Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai

Role Description

The Product Sales Manager (PSM) Transaction Banking is responsible for driving revenue growth, client penetration, and product adoption across transaction banking solutions including cash management, payments & collections, trade finance, escrow management, and supply chain finance to corporate and institutional clients.

The role requires close collaboration with Relationship Managers (RMs), Product Teams, Operations, Technology, and Compliance to originate, structure, and execute transaction banking mandates while ensuring superior client experience and sustained transaction banking growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Responsible for business development and revenue growth for NTB (New-to-Bank) acquisition and ETB (Existing-to-Bank) client penetration of transaction banking products across assigned client segments.

- Identify revenue opportunities through fee income, float balances, CASA growth, NFI income, and cross-sell across various client segments.

- Support RMs in client acquisition, wallet share enhancement, and current account balance build-up.

- Actively originate non-lending mandates such as cash management, payments, escrow, and trade services.

- Participate in client meetings and pitches alongside RMs as a transaction banking subject-matter expert.

- Identify client needs and propose tailored transaction banking solutions across diverse industries.

- Build, maintain, and monitor a robust transaction banking pipeline with clear milestones and deliverables.

- Ensure accuracy and completeness of pipeline data with a strong understanding of client requirements.

- Track deal progress and ensure smooth onboarding and go-live for clients.

- Proactively identify and resolve execution bottlenecks to avoid delays and client dissatisfaction.

- Prepare and review MIS reports on pipeline, revenue, balances, and product penetration.

Experience

- 5-12 years of relevant experience in Transaction Banking, Cash Management, Payments & Collections, Trade Finance, Escrow, or Supply Chain Finance, preferably within a bank or financial institution serving corporate and institutional clients.

- Proven experience in driving transaction banking revenues, including fee income, CASA balances, float income, and non-fund-based income (NFI).

- Strong exposure to client acquisition (NTB) as well as deepening relationships with existing clients (ETB) through product penetration and wallet share enhancement.

- Hands-on experience in originating and executing non-lending mandates such as cash management solutions, payment structures, escrow arrangements, and trade services.

- Prior experience working closely with Relationship Managers, Product Teams, Operations, Technology, and Compliance to structure and deliver transaction banking solutions.

- Demonstrated ability to manage and track sales pipelines, oversee client onboarding, and ensure timely go-live of transaction banking solutions.

- Experience in client-facing roles, including participation in client meetings, pitches, and solution discussions, is strongly preferred.

- Exposure to preparing and reviewing MIS reports, tracking revenue performance, balances, and product penetration metrics.
