Role: Product Lawyer
Role Overview:
The Product Lawyer will partner with product, business, and technology teams to provide legal advisory across the product lifecycle, technology contracts, IP, data privacy, and litigation, ensuring legal risk mitigation while enabling business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product documentation & legal review across lifecycle
- Drafting, reviewing & negotiating complex technology agreements
- Legal advisory on products, business, and corporate matters
- IP portfolio management (patents, trademarks, copyrights)
- Data privacy & data protection advisory
- Litigation management (~20%) with external counsels
- Support new products, policy approvals & regulatory compliance
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong product & technology legal expertise
- Experience with SaaS / PaaS / software & licensing agreements
- Knowledge of payments, fintech or digital products ecosystem
- Ability to independently manage matters and advise stakeholders
Candidate Profile:
- 8-12 years of experience
- B.Tech + LLB preferred
- Stable career history
- Mumbai-based or originally from Mumbai
