Procurement Manager - Natural Rubber/Synthetic Rubber - Tyre Firm

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Procurement:

- Lead monthly/weekly requirement planning and release schedules to suppliers which is inclusive of After market business part development.

- Responsible for procurement of polymers (NR, NBR, SBR, HNBR, EPDM, Silicone, Viton, CR, PBR, TPU/TPE), additives, chemicals, fabrics, oils, mold release agents, and engineering components (sheet metal, forging, turning, springs, plastics, tube forming).

- Handle import procurement, global sourcing, and customs coordination.

- Drive YOY cost optimization, competitive negotiations, and strategic share-of-business allocation.

- Ensure ethical, compliant, and process-driven procure-to-pay execution.

Inventory & Supplier Management:

- Achieve strict inventory targets and implement Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI).

- Ensure 15-day stock policy adherence for all raw materials and metal blanks.

- Build strong supplier relationships with periodic visits and structured reviews.

- Evaluate suppliers for NPD and collaborate with CFT for new part development.

Subcontracting Operations (Plant - Supplier):

- Manage subcontracting operations including plant-to-supplier and supplier-to-plant movement.

- Oversee deflashing units, ensure on-time receipt and delivery, and maintain WIP visibility.

- Handle interplant transfers, work order control, and logistics coordination.

- Ensure daily reconciliation of RM, WIP, FG, production accounting, and stock accuracy.

- Ensure timely receipt accounting, DC closure, and zero mismatch in subcontracting stock.

- Maintain strong relationships with subcontracting partners and drive performance.

Logistics & Delivery:

- Own complete logistics cycle-from customer packing slip request to final delivery at customer location.

- Ensure high Customer OTIF and Supplier OTIF performance.

- Drive freight optimization, POD closure, and coordination with transporters.

Stores & Operations Control:

- Oversee Stores management: Raw Material, Engineering, Metal Blanks, and Finished Goods.

- Ensure zero stock errors, strict FIFO/FEFO, documentation accuracy, and process adherence.

- Maintain disciplined 5S, safety, compliance, and audit readiness.
