Role Summary:
School is seeking a visionary and execution-driven Principal who can lead the school towards global standards of education while staying rooted in Indian values.
The ideal candidate will bring strong academic leadership, a deep understanding of international curricula, and the ability to build a future-ready, research-driven learning ecosystem.
CTC : 40 LPA
Key Responsibilities :
1. Academic Leadership :
- Ensure effective implementation of curriculum and academic planning across grades.
- Drive transition readiness towards international curricula (IB/Cambridge/global frameworks) while maintaining CBSE alignment.
- Monitor and continuously improve teaching-learning processes and academic outcomes.
- Promote student-centric, inquiry-based, and experiential learning approaches.
- Ensure integration of research-based curriculum design and evidence-backed pedagogy.
- Build a competency-based learning culture aligned with NCF 2023.
- Establish strong formative assessment systems alongside summative benchmarks.
2. Pedagogical Vision & Innovation :
- Demonstrate a clear personal philosophy on international pedagogy (IB, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, Project-Based Learning, etc.).
- Lead adoption of globally benchmarked teaching practices contextualized for Indian classrooms.
- Ensure hands-on, experiential, interdisciplinary learning across Grades 1-12.
- Create a culture of continuous pedagogical innovation and reflection.
3. Administration & Operations :
- Oversee day-to-day school administration and smooth functioning.
- Ensure compliance with CBSE norms and statutory requirements.
- Develop school policies, systems, and operational procedures.
- Manage infrastructure, safety, and optimal resource utilization.
4. Staff Management & Capability Building:
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Identify and address outdated or ineffective teaching practices through coaching and training.
- Build a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture.
- Design continuous professional development aligned with global standards.
5. Student Development & School Culture:
- Ensure holistic student development (academic, emotional, social, leadership).
- Build a culture that nurtures global competencies, including:
i. Critical thinking
ii. Collaboration
iii. Communication
iv. Creativity
v. Global citizenship
- Maintain discipline, values, and a positive school environment.
- Promote co-curricular and leadership opportunities.
6. Parent & Community Engagement:
- Strengthen school-parent relationships and trust.
- Represent the school in external forums and build institutional reputation.
- Drive brand positioning as a progressive, globally aligned institution.
- Support admissions growth through academic credibility and differentiation.
Must-Have Competencies:
The Principal must demonstrate:
- Strong understanding of international curricula (IB / Cambridge / global frameworks)
- A clear personal perspective on pedagogy (not generic knowledge)
- Exposure to or experience with research-based curriculum design
- Ability to balance:
i. Global best practices
ii. Indian cultural context
iii. Board requirements (CBSE)
Deep understanding of :
i. Competency-based education (NCF 2023)
ii. Formative vs summative assessments
iii. Experiential learning ecosystems
Eligibility Criteria :
- Postgraduate degree with B.Ed./M.Ed.
- 8-10 years of teaching experience with 3-5 years in leadership roles (VP/Principal)
- Experience in CBSE school administration (mandatory)
- Exposure to international curriculum or pedagogy (highly preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
