About Company : We are looking for an experienced HR Leader for one of our client which is into electric transportation and the role will be based out of Mumbai. Purpose: a) Head of HR Operations responsibilities include designing HR budgets, applying company policies and managing internal HR systems. b) To oversee all personnel-related matters and ensure we use our resources beneficially with an aim to ultimately ensure the HR department operates efficiently and aligns with Company's business objectives. c) To be successful in this role, one should have extensive and appropriate HR experience in senior roles and good knowledge of Human Resources Management software. Major Responsibilities: a) Lead HR projects like compensation plans revisions b) Implement functional HR Management System (HRMS) and internal databases across all departments and locations. c) Assist in creating an inclusive, responsible and safety conscious environment. d) Oversee our payroll and performance evaluation systems. e) Design company policies and procedures f) Review and update our employment contracts and agreements. g) Prepare budgets by department. h) Track key HR metrics like cost per hire and retention rates. i) Manage internal communication projects (like job satisfaction surveys) j) Measure the effectiveness of our benefits programs and recommend improvements. k) Manages the company's Workers' Compensation program; works closely with the company's Ensures that all required records and reports are complete, accurate and correctly submitted to comply with all internal processes and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. l) Coordinate employee training and development initiatives m) Ensure record keeping and data processing procedures comply with applicable acts/enactments and company policies. n) Responsible for providing day-to-day support regarding human resources and organizational issues. o) Manage day-to-day performance management guidance to management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions); works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. p) Responsible for the coordination and conduction of orientation programs for newly hired employees, process all Personnel Action Forms (PAF), and other necessary correspondence such as unemployment, severance, reference, and benefit letters. q) Implements and manages safety policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. r) Support the administration in project safety, accident, and hazard communication programs to maintain safe work environments. s) Assist in conducting safety evaluations in all sites to assess risk and determine if changes are needed in processes, training, visual tools, and equipment. t) Key personnel to review and documents unsafe conditions, safety hazards and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented. u) Key personnel for conducting investigations of accidents and injuries through employee interviews, equipment inspections and site inspections, carefully reviewing the integrity of personal protective equipment, materials, and job-site specific gear. v) Key personnel in ensuring regular worksite safety training for all employees; provides training for hourly labour, foremen, supervisors and local managers in work site safety practices, fire prevention and correct handling techniques for toxins, equipment and other materials. Qualification required : a) Master's degree in human resource b) Certificate / Certificate course from reputed institutes on HR or aspects of HR/Training etc. Experiences and Skills required : a) Work experience as a Head of HR Operations or similar role b) Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in HR with minimum 5-years as Head-HR or Deputy Head-HR. c) Experience of developing and implementing various policies related to HR as general along with attention to inclusiveness, gender neutrality etc. d) Must possess a high level of honesty, integrity, and ethics. e) Experience of working in start-up (in any manner) and for transportation sector would be an added advantage. f) Exposure to safety management experience g) Knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance issues h) Knowledge of the principles and practices of transportation industry i) Innovative thinking with strong analytical and problem solving skills j) Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills k) Ability to direct workforce planning, succession management, retention, and employee engagement initiatives l) Ability to understand the business operations from a strategic and tactical perspective. m) Must be a confident communicator, (including written, and verbal skills) and able to effectively champion ideas, influence, and present to leadership. n) Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with competing priorities, diverse audiences and challenging environments. o) Experience with Human Resources Information Systems including payroll tools. p) Experience in designing compensation and benefits programs. q) Experience in management of training for all segments of employees with appropriate tools viz. training calendar, tie-ups, train the trainer modules etc. r) Good knowledge of labour legislation, Minimum Wages Act, Applicable acts in India and in various States w.r.t. compensation and employee rights & responsibilities. s) Leadership abilities
