Prefr - Risk Manager

What will you do?

As the Risk team member, you will be responsible for managing risk strategy and containing credit losses at Prefr.

You will be responsible for:

- Building different credit risk and fraud policies for the NBFC using different scorecards and models. Policies include Approve/Decline, block/unblock, pricing, limit assignment etc.

- Working closely with collections and operations team to ensure the feedback loop is closed and learnings are relayed into our credit decisioning strategies

- Working closely with technology and product teams to ensure right implementation of credit policies in the system through testing and due diligence.

- Helping shape the product design and operations processes by evaluating them from a Credit/Fraud risk lens

- Constantly assess effectiveness of existing credit policies through portfolio deep dive and segment analysis and recommend changes in policies if required.

- Building and publishing portfolio monitoring reports with risk matrices on a regular basis and providing key insights.

- Own the periodic reviews of the portfolio risk matrices with the lending partners, risk management committees and other committees as prescribed by the organization and the regulators.

- Tracking collections matrices on a regular basis and support with allocation data and additional information to the collections team for them to work effectively.

- Calculate Loss Provision for the portfolios and provide loss forecasting of future months.

- Provide support with data and insights on risk for lender onboarding, lender reviews etc.

- Understand regulatory and compliance changes as prescribed by the regulatory bodies and change/modify credit policies and processes.

- Create product programs and policy documents with subsequent changes and version controls.

You should apply if you have:

- 4-6 years of strong analytical, monitoring and control, execution experience in Banks/NBFCs/FinTech's

- Proficient in SQL, Python

- Prior retail credit experience will be strongly preferred followed by any experience on underwriting in proximate fields (like unsecured loans, insurance, working capital loans etc.)

- Have the ability to analyze and solve complicated problems, and distil that complexity into simple and concise communication

- Seek high ownership, independent environments, and feedback oriented cultures

- Must have a very strong operating discipline.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
