Role Overview :

The General Manager Accounts & Finance will lead and oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust internal controls, and strategic financial planning. This role involves collaborating closely with senior management, project teams, and external stakeholders to drive financial performance and support the company's growth objectives. The General Manager will be responsible for managing a team of finance professionals and providing leadership in budgeting, taxation, corporate finance, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities :

- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders.

- Develop and manage the annual budget, working closely with department heads to align financial plans with strategic objectives, to ensure effective resource allocation and cost control.

- Lead the taxation function, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations, to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax efficiency.

- Manage the company's corporate finance activities, including fundraising, investment analysis, and financial risk management, to support strategic growth initiatives.

- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to senior management, identifying trends, opportunities, and risks, to inform decision-making and improve financial performance.

- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of SAP FICO, ensuring its effective utilization for financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis, to streamline financial processes and improve data accuracy.

- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities, to build a high-performing finance function.

- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements, to maintain the integrity of financial reporting.

- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements, to strengthen internal controls and mitigate financial risks.

- Contribute to strategic planning initiatives, providing financial insights and analysis to support the development of long-term business strategies, to drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a finance function in a construction or infrastructure company, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.

- Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, corporate finance, and financial analysis, enabling effective financial management and strategic decision-making.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and mitigating financial risks.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders and management of a finance team.

- Proficiency in SAP FICO, enabling efficient financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) preferred.
