Role Overview

The General Manager Finance will be responsible for managing end-to-end financial accounting, compliance, and reporting activities. This role involves overseeing general ledger accuracy, fixed assets management, ESOP accounting, audit coordination, financial statement preparation, and implementation of process improvements. The incumbent must have strong knowledge of Ind AS and experience handling statutory/internal audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. General Ledger & Accounting

- Perform regular general ledger scrutiny/substantiation and highlight observations to respective SPOCs for timely resolution.

- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of books of accounts in compliance with Ind AS.

2. Fixed Assets Management

- Review the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) on a monthly basis.

- Oversee timely capitalization, de-capitalization, depreciation accounting, and closure of fixed asset-related entries.

3. ESOP Accounting

- Handle ESOP accounting in accordance with applicable Ind AS standards.

- Ensure correct valuation, recognition, and disclosures in financial statements.

4. Audit Coordination

- Assist and coordinate with statutory and internal auditors.

- Address audit queries and ensure timely resolution of observations.

- Collaborate with Risk & Audit teams to ensure smooth closure of Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting (ICFR).

5. Financial Reporting

- Prepare quarterly and annual Financial Statements from the Trial Balance (Standalone/Consolidated as applicable).

- Prepare relevant notes to accounts and ensure compliance with disclosure requirements.

- Prepare Related Party Disclosures on a quarterly basis.

6. Systems, Controls & Process Improvements

- Identify and drive systems, technology, and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

- Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong understanding and practical application of Ind AS.

- Expertise in general ledger accounting, fixed assets, ESOP accounting, and financial reporting.

- Hands-on experience in managing ICFR, audits, and disclosure preparation.

- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial tools.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience

- Relevant experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and audit management (preferably in a similar industry).
