Plant Manager - Dahej, Gujarat

Job Role

Responsible for unit-level operations, P&L, production, quality, and safety while ensuring compliance, process excellence, and continuous improvement to achieve organisational goals.

Job Details

The Plant Manager leads end-to-end plant operations including production, quality, safety, maintenance, compliance, and workforce management (200+ staff). Responsible for meeting production targets, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement, the role drives process optimisation, lean initiatives, and new product scale-up while ensuring 100% compliance with labour, safety, environmental, and corporate policies.

Key responsibilities include:

- Operations & Process Engineering - optimise production, reduce costs, ensure timely delivery.

- Quality & Compliance - oversee QA/QC, implement corrective actions, and maintain regulatory standards.

- Continuous Improvement & Lean - drive efficiency, waste reduction, Kaizen, Six Sigma.

- Safety & Maintenance - Enforce a safety-first culture, implement preventive/predictive maintenance, and minimise downtime.

- People Leadership - lead, coach, and develop a 200-member workforce to achieve targets and build high morale.

Candidate Profile:

Qualifications: B.Tech/BE (Mechanical/Chemical/Polymer, Master's preferred; 15-20 years manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in leadership. Strong background in adhesives, polymers, or printing technologies. Must demonstrate strategic thinking, problem-solving, lean/TPM expertise, and people leadership.

The position is expected to be filled within the next four weeks.
