Role Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive production planning aligned with sales forecasts, raw material availability, and capacity utilization
- Ensure consistent quality, GSM control, moisture, strength parameters, and yield optimization
- Optimize process efficiency, waste reduction, energy consumption, and cost per ton
- Oversee maintenance strategy to ensure high machine uptime and reliability
- Implement and monitor safety, environmental, and statutory compliance standards
- Lead, train, and manage production, technical, and shift teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, process optimization, best practices)
- Monitor plant KPIs and present performance reviews to senior management
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and commercial teams for smooth operations
Mandatory Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience as Plant Head / Production Head / Works Head in a paper manufacturing setup
- Strong technical understanding of pulping, stock preparation, paper machines, utilities, and finishing
- Proven experience in managing large shop-floor teams and multi-shift operations
- Exposure to recycled paper manufacturing is highly preferred
- Experience working in international / remote locations will be an advantage
