Key Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounts Management:

- Lead end-to-end finance and accounting operations for the manufacturing unit and related business entities.

- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual closure and finalisation of accounts in line with statutory and corporate requirements.

- Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements, MIS, variance analysis and profitability reporting for unit leadership and corporate stakeholders.

- Drive standardisation, automation and continuous improvement in finance processes and reporting.

Financial Planning & Business Control:

- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range business planning, and cost optimization initiatives.

- Monitor business plan vs actual performance and drive corrective actions through financial analysis.

- Partner with plant leadership and corporate stakeholders for strategic decision-making and profitability enhancement.

- Strengthen internal financial controls and governance frameworks.

Costing & Commercial Operations:

- Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, material consumption analysis, and margin improvement initiatives.

- Manage commercial operations including procurement finance support, tender evaluation, contract review, and vendor negotiations.

- Drive working capital optimization including receivables, payables, and inventory management.

- Support project financing, capex planning, and financial structuring for expansion projects.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, Customs, Export Incentives, and other statutory regulations.

- Liaise with government authorities, auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.

- Lead tax assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.

Audit & Governance:

- Coordinate internal, statutory, cost and tax audits; ensure timely closure of observations with preventive actions.

- Ensure adherence to SOPs, internal controls, risk management practices and corporate governance standards.

- Support due diligence and restructuring initiatives, as required by corporate office.

Systems & Process Excellence:

- Own ERP (SAP) finance processes for the unit; ensure data quality, controls and user adoption.

- Build and maintain unit-level MIS dashboards (cost, margin, working capital, compliance) to support decision-making.

- Identify and deliver digitisation/automation use-cases that reduce cycle time and improve control effectiveness.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor large cross-functional finance and commercial teams across plant and corporate environments.

- Build high-performance teams focused on operational excellence and compliance.

Key Interfaces:

- Plant Head / Unit Leadership Team

- Business/Corporate Finance, FP&A, Treasury and Tax teams

- Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial, Stores and Production teams

- Internal Audit, Statutory/Cost Auditors and Consultants

- Financial Institutions and Government Authorities (GST/Income Tax/Customs)
