Role Overview :

As the Lead for Server and Storage Infrastructure based in Nigeria, you will serve as the primary technical authority for the organizations enterprise-grade computing environment. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of server and storage assets, ensuring that the infrastructure remains resilient, scalable, and aligned with the high-availability requirements of the energy sector.

You will collaborate closely with regional IT leadership, global stakeholders, and on-site engineering teams to drive architectural improvements, optimize system performance, and safeguard data integrity. Your leadership will directly influence the stability of business-critical applications and the overall efficiency of the companys digital backbone.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and deploy high-availability server and storage solutions to ensure 99.99% uptime for mission-critical business operations.

- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans to mitigate risks and ensure rapid data restoration.

- Manage complex SAN and NAS environments, optimizing storage tiering and capacity planning to support growing data demands.

- Oversee the migration and integration of on-premises infrastructure with cloud environments to create a hybrid ecosystem that enhances operational flexibility.

- Direct the administration of Windows and Linux server environments, ensuring security patches, performance tuning, and configuration management meet global compliance standards.

- Mentor technical teams and provide high-level troubleshooting for complex infrastructure bottlenecks to minimize downtime and improve system throughput.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and infrastructure trends to recommend strategic upgrades that align with the companys long-term technical roadmap.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale, enterprise-level IT infrastructure, specifically within the context of server and storage virtualization.

- Advanced proficiency in configuring and maintaining SAN/NAS storage arrays and implementing robust backup and recovery strategies.

- Deep technical knowledge of Windows and Linux server operating systems, including performance optimization and security hardening.

- Proven ability to lead infrastructure projects from conception to deployment, with a focus on cloud integration and hybrid architecture.

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in a diverse, international environment.

- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure scenarios involving disaster recovery and system failure mitigation.

- A minimum of 15 to 22 years of relevant professional experience in IT infrastructure management, preferably within the energy or industrial sectors.

- Ability to adapt to the operational requirements of a Nigeria-based role, demonstrating cultural agility and the capacity to manage on-site infrastructure demands effectively.
