Job Summary:
- As an Associate Director - Total Reward Programs at PayU, you will be a pivotal member of our Rewards Center of Excellence (COE) team.
- This role offers a unique opportunity to design, implement, and strategically manage innovative total rewards programs across various facets including Benefits, Short-Term Incentives (STI), Sales Incentive Plans (SIP), and Long-Term Incentives (LTI).
- You will leverage your deep expertise in rewards, combining a strategic consulting mindset with hands-on COE experience, to ensure our programs are competitive, effective, and aligned with PayU's ambitious business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Program Design & Rollout:
- Lead the end-to-end design and successful rollout of strategic total reward programs, including but not limited to Benefits, Short-Term Incentives (STI), Sales Incentive Plans (SIP), and Long-Term Incentives (LTI).
- Ensure all reward programs are strategically aligned with PayU's overall business objectives, talent acquisition, retention, and performance goals.
- Ability to Design Programs from Scratch: Demonstrate a strong capability to conceptualize, structure, and build new reward programs from the ground up, tailored to specific business needs and market dynamics.
Market Analysis & Benchmarking:
- Proactively monitor and measure the effectiveness of current reward programs through detailed analysis of internal data and external market benchmarks.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, best practices, and competitive compensation and benefits structures within the FinTech and broader tech industry.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for program adjustments and enhancements to maintain competitiveness and fairness.
- Deep Market Understanding: Possess an in-depth understanding of the nuances of compensation and benefits practices across various markets and industries.
Subject Matter Expertise & Consultation:
- Serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) on total rewards, providing expert advice and guidance to HR Business Partners, business leaders, and employees.
- Stay abreast of relevant legislation, compliance requirements, and emerging trends in the rewards space.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Program Management:
- Strong Program Management: Drive the execution of complex reward initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication.
- Partner effectively with internal teams (e. , Finance, Legal, HR Operations, HRBPs, Business Leaders) and external consultants/vendors to ensure seamless execution and administration of reward programs.
- Facilitate strong alignment and collaboration between different stakeholders to achieve a common approach and successful delivery of rewards initiatives.
Problem Solving & Structured Thinking:
- Apply a highly analytical and structured approach to identify rewards-related challenges, analyze root - causes, and develop innovative solutions.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities in navigating complex rewards scenarios and data interpretation.
Critical Functional Competencies Required:
- Deep Expertise in Total Rewards: Comprehensive knowledge of compensation principles, benefits administration, variable pay, long-term incentives, and sales incentives.
- Problem Solving: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues related to reward programs.
- Structured Thinking: Capacity to break down complex problems into logical components and develop systematic solutions.
- Ability to Design Programs from Scratch: Proven track record of developing new reward frameworks and initiatives.
- Deep Market Understanding: Extensive knowledge of market trends, competitive practices, and relevant compensation and benefits data.
- Strong Program Management: Expertise in managing large-scale HR/Rewards projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

Qualifications:
- Total experience of 7-12 years, with a minimum of 5 years dedicated experience in the Total Rewards space.
- Ideal candidate will have a combination of Consulting (preferably HR Consulting) and Rewards Center of Excellence (COE) background.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing complex compensation and benefits programs.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (advanced functions) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly evolving environment.
- MBA in HR or a relevant post-graduate qualification is highly desirable.
