Pathkind Diagnostics - Lab Head

Location: Faizabad, U.P./Aurangabad, Maharashtra

Job Objective:

To lead and manage laboratory operations in line with prescribed SOPs, regulatory and accreditation norms, ensuring accurate diagnostic results within defined Turnaround Time (TAT) at optimal cost, while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and clinical excellence.

- Oversee technical and scientific operations of laboratories under assigned jurisdiction.

- Validate test runs and authorize/release patient reports ensuring accuracy and compliance.

- Implement and monitor Quality Management System (QMS) in line with NABL and regulatory requirements.

- Establish and enforce laboratory policies, SOPs, and compliance standards.

- Ensure laboratories are audit-ready and address non-conformities effectively.

- Manage staffing, competency, training, and deployment of technical personnel.

- Provide leadership through regular communication, guidance, and performance oversight of laboratory teams.

- Ensure laboratory infrastructure, equipment, safety, and working environment meet operational and regulatory standards.

- Maintain strong clinical interface with referring physicians, hospitals, laboratories, and institutional clients.

- Select and monitor referral laboratories and oversee quality of outsourced testing.

- Supervise procurement of reagents, consumables, spares, and capital equipment, ensuring cost optimization.

- Drive cost containment initiatives without compromising quality.

- Address complaints, feedback, and service-related concerns from internal and external stakeholders.

- Develop and implement contingency and emergency plans to ensure uninterrupted essential laboratory services.

- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned in the interest of the organization.

- MD (Pathology) / DNB (Pathology)

- Valid registration with relevant medical or professional council (where applicable)

- Proven experience in NABL-accredited laboratories

- Strong exposure to quality systems, audits, and regulatory compliance

- Experience in managing high-volume diagnostic labs and multi-location operations preferred

- Strong leadership and people management
