
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly accomplished and dynamic Partner to join our leading law firm's Real Estate practice in either Delhi NCR or Mumbai. This pivotal role involves providing expert legal counsel and strategic guidance to a diverse portfolio of clients on complex real estate transactions. You will collaborate closely with senior partners, associates, and support staff, while also directly engaging with clients, developers, investors, and government authorities. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the growth of our real estate practice and ensuring the successful execution of high-value deals, ultimately contributing to the firm's reputation for excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development projects, for clients to ensure successful and timely completion of deals.
- Conduct comprehensive land acquisition and title due diligence for clients to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with property transactions.
- Structure sophisticated property transactions for clients, optimizing tax efficiency and minimizing legal exposure.
- Draft, review, and negotiate conveyancing documents and provide accurate and reliable title opinions for clients to facilitate smooth and legally sound property transfers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry stakeholders, and government authorities to expand the firm's real estate practice and generate new business opportunities.
- Mentor and train junior lawyers and paralegals to foster their professional development and contribute to the growth of the firm's talent pool.
Required Skillset:
- Demonstrated expertise in real estate transactions, land acquisition, title due diligence, property structuring, and conveyancing.
- Proven ability to provide strategic legal advice and guidance to clients on complex real estate matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present legal arguments and interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks in real estate transactions.
- A law degree from a recognized university and a minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience in a leading law firm or corporate legal department.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
