About the Opportunity :

- We are hiring a skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Surgeon for a reputed healthcare institution in Agartala. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified specialist to join a progressive medical setup and provide advanced treatment for musculoskeletal disorders, trauma cases, fractures, and joint-related conditions.

- The selected candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and performing surgical procedures related to bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, spine, and musculoskeletal injuries while ensuring excellent patient outcomes and quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and treat disorders related to bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and spine.

- Perform orthopedic surgeries including trauma, fracture fixation, arthroscopy, joint replacement, and reconstructive procedures as per expertise.

- Manage emergency trauma and accident cases requiring immediate orthopedic intervention.

- Conduct pre-operative assessments, investigations, and treatment planning.

- Provide post-operative care, rehabilitation guidance, and monitor patient recovery.

- Manage OPD consultations, inpatient cases, and follow-up treatments.

- Coordinate with physiotherapists, radiologists, anesthetists, and rehabilitation teams for holistic patient care.

- Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes, and medical documentation.

- Follow hospital protocols, infection control measures, and patient safety standards.

- Participate in clinical audits, departmental discussions, and quality improvement initiatives.

- Guide junior doctors, residents, and OT staff when required.

Required Qualifications:

- MBBS from a recognized medical institution.

- MS (Orthopaedics) / DNB (Orthopaedics) / MCh (Orthopaedics) / Fellowship in Orthopaedics.

- Valid medical registration with relevant medical council.

- Relevant post-qualification experience as an Orthopedic Surgeon preferred.

Desired Skills:

- Strong expertise in orthopedic surgeries and trauma management.

- Experience in arthroscopy, spine procedures, sports injury treatment, or joint replacement preferred.

- Excellent diagnostic and surgical decision-making skills.
