Description:

The Orthodontist is responsible for correcting malocclusions (misaligned teeth and bites) to improve a patients oral function and aesthetic appearance. This role involves designing custom treatment plans, utilizing advanced 3D imaging, and applying various corrective appliances such as braces and clear aligners.

Core Responsibilities:

- Patient Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive examinations using X-rays (CBCT), 3D intraoral scans, and digital photographs to identify dental and jaw irregularities.

- Treatment Planning: Develop personalized, long-term treatment strategies for patients of all ages, including children (early intervention) and adults.

- Appliance Fitting: Install and adjust orthodontic hardware, including traditional metal braces, ceramic braces, lingual braces, and clear aligners (e.g., Invisalign).

- Progress Monitoring: Manage a high volume of follow-up appointments to adjust wires, monitor tooth movement, and ensure the treatment is progressing according to the digital plan.

- Surgical Collaboration: Coordinate with oral surgeons for complex cases requiring orthognathic surgery to correct severe jaw misalignments.

- Patient Education: Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene, appliance care, and the importance of wearing retainers post-treatment.

- Team Leadership: Supervise orthodontic assistants and laboratory technicians, ensuring clinical protocols and sterilization standards are strictly followed.
