Operations Head (Sheet Metal)

Oversees and directs all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. Managing production schedules, optimizing processes, controlling costs, and leading teams to meet production targets and customer expectations. Focus on continuous improvement, implementing strategies like lean manufacturing and Six Sigma, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations.

Key responsibilities:

- Managing the day-to-day activities of the sheet metal manufacturing plant.

- Developing and implementing production schedules to meet deadlines and fulfill orders.

- Identifying areas for improvement in production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

- Managing materials, equipment, and personnel to optimize resource utilization.

- Ensuring that all products meet industry standards and customer expectations.

- Implementing quality control measures and troubleshooting any production issues that arise.

- Ensuring robust compliance with relevant quality management systems like PPAP, APQP, and FMEA.

- Managing, leading, and motivating a team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

- Providing training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

- Implementing performance management systems and providing feedback to employees.

Qualification And Experience:

1. BE with 20+ Years of Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role with strong knowledge of sheet metal production processes.

2. Demonstrated success in leading large-scale manufacturing operations.

3. In-depth knowledge of concepts, market trends, and customer-centric strategies.

4. Proven track record in process improvement and manufacturing excellence.

5. Familiarity with budget control, cost management, and innovative approaches to operational challenges.

6. Proficiency in concepts such as Poka Yoke and Industry 4.0 digitization.

7. Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

8. Managing inventory levels and ensuring efficient supply chain logistics.

9. Developing and managing the plant's budget, controlling costs, and optimizing resource use.

10. Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations and efficient workflow.

11. Developing and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
