Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned IR Manager with strong exposure to EPC / Oil & Gas projects to manage industrial relations across corporate office and project sites. The role involves handling unions, contract labour, statutory compliance, and ensuring smooth workforce operations in a high-intensity project environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead Industrial Relations for corporate office and multiple project sites


- Manage union interactions, negotiations, wage settlements, and disputes


- Handle contract labour workforce (CLRA compliance, vendor management, audits)


Ensure compliance with labour laws including:


- Factories Act


- Industrial Disputes Act


- CLRA Act


- BOCW Act (critical for EPC projects)


- Represent the company in labour courts, conciliation proceedings, and government forums


- Liaise with local authorities, labour commissioners, and inspectors


- Drive discipline management, domestic enquiries, and grievance handling


- Develop IR strategies to avoid strikes, slowdowns, and work disruptions


- Conduct site visits to ensure IR stability across locations


- Maintain statutory documentation, registers, and audit readiness

Key Requirements:

- MBA / MSW / PGDM in HR / Labour Laws


- 8-15 years of experience in EPC / Oil & Gas / Construction / Heavy Engineering


- Strong experience in multi-location/site IR management


- Deep understanding of contract labour ecosystem

- Proven track record in handling unions and large blue-collar workforce


- Knowledge of Maharashtra labour laws (additional state exposure is a plus)


- Willingness to travel to project sites

Preferred Skills:

- Experience handling BOCW compliance for large projects


- Exposure to shutdown/turnaround project workforce management


- Strong crisis management and negotiation skills


- Ability to work in high-pressure, deadline-driven environments

Compensation:

Industry-best compensation (negotiable based on experience)
