Manager / Senior Manager - Total Rewards & Compensation

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 4-8 Years

Qualification: MBA from Premier Institutions

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Rockstar Total Rewards professional to drive compensation design, job architecture, and rewards frameworks across the organization. The role will anchor jobs/skills family, competency & benefits design, grade/band structures, Industry benchmarking, LTIP and ESOPs ensuring alignment with business goals, talent strategy, and market competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Job Architecture & Frameworks:

- Design and implement Job Families, Skills Families, and Competency Frameworks across functions and roles.

- Standardize role definitions, career paths, and capability mapping.

- Drive organization wide job evaluation, role leveling, and benchmarking initiatives.

2. Grade & Band Structuring:

- Develop and maintain Grade / Band structures aligned to internal equity and external market benchmarks.

- Support organization design and workforce structuring initiatives.

- Ensure consistency and governance in role mapping and grading decisions.

3. Compensation Design, Strategy & Benefits:

Lead Compensation Design initiatives including:

- Salary structures and pay ranges

- Role based and skills based pay models

- Differentiated pay frameworks for critical talent

- Own annual compensation planning cycles (merit increases, promotions, corrections).

- Design, implement, and manage Bonus Plans (Short Term Incentives).

- Structure and administer Long Term Incentives (LTI), ESOPs, and RSUs aligned to retention and performance objectives.

- Conduct compensation benchmarking using market survey data and analytics.

4. Governance, Analytics & Compliance:

- Establish strong governance over compensation policies, processes, and approvals.

- Build analytics, dashboards and insights on pay equity, cost optimization, and ROI of rewards.

- Partner closely with Finance on budgeting, cost modeling, and impact assessments.

5. Stakeholder Management:

- Act as a trusted advisor to CXOs, HRBPs, and business leaders on compensation and rewards decisions.

- Support M&A, business transformation, or scale up initiatives from a compensation design and structuring lens.

- Provide market insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

- Grade & Band Structures and Job Evaluation

- Incentive Design - STI, LTI, ESOPs, RSUs

- Compensation Benchmarking & Rewards Analytics

- Job Evaluation Methodologies (Hay, Mercer, Willis Towers Watson)

- Organization Design & Workforce Structuring

- Advanced Excel, Data Analytics, and HR Tech tools

- Strong business acumen and stakeholder influencing skills

Success Metrics:

- Effective implementation of compensation design, job architecture, and grading frameworks

- Improved pay equity, role clarity, and market competitiveness

- Optimization of compensation cost vs performance outcomes

- Strong adoption and governance of incentive and retention programs

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- 4-8 years of experience in Total Rewards / Compensation & Benefits

- Demonstrated strength in Compensation Design, job architecture, and incentive programs

- Experience working in large, complex organizations.

- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to influence senior leadership
