
Role Overview:
The Sales HRBP will act as a strategic partner to the Sales function, driving people initiatives aligned with business goals. The role involves end-to-end HR business partnering, including manpower planning, talent management, performance enablement, employee engagement, and capability building across the sales organization.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and their teams.
- Attend monthly regional sales meetings to understand priorities, challenges, and people-related issues.
- Partner with Sales leadership to align HR priorities with business goals and improve team productivity.
2. Field & Market Exposure
- Undertake 2-3 days of market visits every month to gain insights into field realities, sales operations, and frontline challenges.
- Evaluate salesperson productivity and work closely with managers to design improvement actions.
3. Talent Acquisition & Manpower Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for front-line and mid-level sales positions (TM, SO).
- Handle bulk hiring drives in line with approved budgets, ensuring adherence to cost and timeline targets.
- Coordinate with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure smooth onboarding and early integration of new hires.
4. Employee Relations & IR Management
- Handle employee relations and IR issues within the sales workforce in coordination with zonal and HR leadership.
- Ensure consistent communication and grievance redressal mechanisms across regions.
- Promote a transparent, fair, and engaging work culture.
5. Learning & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate selling skills and product knowledge training for front-line and TM levels.
- Conduct or co-facilitate training programs based on prior experience in sales capability building.
- Track and assess the effectiveness of training interventions.
6. Performance & Productivity Management
- Support the sales team in goal setting, performance tracking, and productivity reviews.
- Analyze data from SFA, DMS, and M-Assist tools to identify trends, performance gaps, and actionable insights.
- Recommend interventions to improve efficiency and field effectiveness.
7. HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure HR processes (confirmation, transfers, exit formalities, etc.) are implemented effectively within the sales organization.
- Partner with HR Operations for payroll and attendance accuracy.
- Maintain compliance with HR policies and procedures across zones.
Education Qualification required
- MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification.

Excellence Experience
- 7-9 years of HR experience, with at least 3-4 years in an HRBP role supporting sales or field teams.
- Proven exposure to FMCG / Hygiene / Consumer Products industry.
- Strong understanding of sales operations, IR handling, and field realities.
- Working knowledge of SFA, DMS, and M-Assist tools.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently for regional meetings and market visits.
